Building Control Surveyor

Scale 5/6/7  (pay award pending), plus, Essential car user allowance

37 hours per week, Permanent

The Leicestershire Building Control Partnership provides a service over 6 council areas that are a mixture of towns (famous for their battles, pork pies and cheese) and rural areas.  We have a large, experienced and knowledgeable team who work hard to provide excellent customer service and we enjoy a flexible and supported working environment.

Alongside the usual knowledge of building regulations and experience of plan checking and site inspections, we would expect you to uphold our high levels of customer service with a proactive approach to securing future business. Applicants must have a positive team working attitude and be customer focused and business orientated.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Building Safety Regulator Requirements and Operational Standards and be validated to at least level Class 2A (level 2F for Seniors) and be a Member of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers or Royal institute of Chartered Surveyors.

We may consider applications from applicants without previous Building Control experience but who have a building construction background on a Trainee Building Control Surveyor basis.  A building control career with us offers the opportunity for progression as this is a growing service.  Salary for a Trainee Building Control Surveyor ranges from £30,825 – £36,648 and for a Building Control Surveyor up to Senior ranges from £37,336 – £45,441.
